I bought this chair from the chair outlet, through amazon for £100 plus the £20 Delivery.

The Big attraction was the folding back, which this is the only Executive chair of this type that I could find, that the back folds. The chair is well made for the money and is comfortable and looks good, however the folding action is not easy and as I have found out, is a two person job. One has to sit in the chair and pull both the catches up, while the other person pushes the back forward, to fold it.

I had initially problems finding out how to fold it and unfold it as the action seemed to stick. I tried emailing the Chair Outlet, through Amazon, however they never bothered to get back to me. I was also disappointed after paying £20 delivery, that it took nearly a week to arrive from leaving the Chair Outlet.

Overall a good value, comfortable chair with a (as far as I know) unique folding back. I just hope that you don't have any problems as the Chair Outlet don't seem to be the best to deal with. I would give the chair five stars, at the £100 I paid for it, but I have knocked one of for the folding action and the very poor (in fact non existent) customer support from the Chair Outlet.

I was a little concerned at some of the reports for this product, so as there was a very similar one offered for sale but from a different supplier and at a slightly higher cost and delivery charge, I went by that. All I can say is that I'm glad I did. Mine was supplied by BiMi whoose service was excellent. The item arrived within two WORKING days, well packaged, via FedEx. Assembling the chair was easy. I was at first concerned that the raising mechanism wasn't working properly as the lever seemed initially loose, however it does work and gives an ample range of adjustment for use. So I guess the reviewer who states that it's only suitable for midgets didn't manage that. Seat height is adjustable between 45cm & 54cm. Ample for me at 5'11". The tilt mechanism is also adjustable for sensitivity. It's well made, certainly for the price, has a luxurious feel to it, and is very comfortable. All in all something of a bargain.

This chair was selling at £134.30 when I bought it last December. It's being (among others) advertised as an "Extra Wide Durable 5 Star Base" chair. Well, let me tell you something. It was alright while it lasted but after I have had it for about 7.5 months, one of its cheap legs cracked and then finally snapped (with me falling off of it and almost injuring my shoulder). I won't even bother to try and get a replacement from the seller as the cost of sending the broken chair back will be just too high (it's pretty heavy in weight and it can't be disassembled) so it's not worth it. Nor will I EVER buy any other chair from Chair Outlet. It really bothers me that what I thought it's going to be a DURABLE chair (as advertised) turned out not to be truth. Have given it 2 stars only because it was not too shabby chair while it lasted. Oh, and btw, the backrest doesn't fold - don't fall for that.

I have previously written a review of this product and marked it with *** three stars, but now after 2 days of using it I give up and am going to return it. Its maximum seat height is 51cm and it is definetely too short! And the seller (Chair Outlet) does not even include that information in the product description, I wonder why?? If you open an Argos catalogue you will notice, that all of the office chairs have seat heights shown in the description it is a vital information!

My advice is NOT TO BUY THIS CHAIR if the distance between the base of your foot and the centre of the knee is longer that the maximum seat height. Sitting in a position, when your knee is positioned below above the seat height is incredibly uncomfortable for your legs and leads to frustration within 1-2 hours.

And apart from that, the chair overall does not feel as comfy as it might seem on the picture - yes I know it looks juicy but it is actually very hard...

Make sure that you are short enough before buying this weird chair.
