Sugar Praise for '!then he ate my boy entrancers.': "You'll be falling about laughing at this.' Mizz 'The only snag about taking this on holiday is that it won't last long: it will be consumed without a break except for the snorting noises. But it can always be passed on to parents by any youngster who can stand the sound of Vati's and Mutti's snorts, or dipped into repeatedly because every line is vair vair funny.' Sunday Times Praise for '!and that's when it fell off in my hand.': 'Readers will find themselves laughing uncontrollably until their sides hurt, and won't be able to put the book down.' Sunday Times 'Hilarious! [Louise Rennison] is queen of the pink-book pack.' The Times Praise for 'Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging': 'Bridget Jones for teenagers -- but funnier. 2.0 out of 5 stars I think it's time for a conclusion..., 1 May 2008
To be honest, I read this book out of habit. I've been following the series since the beginning and while the moments of humour become no less funny, they do seem to be getting further apart, and somewhat lost within the 'dilemma' of which boy to choose. This, and the previous book, 'startled by his furry shorts' I read very close together, so perhaps that's why I found them a little disappointing -- maybe I had a bit of Georgia Nicholson overload. They seemed to me to be getting more than a little repetitive and samey -- the story of both books, if not 'and then he ate my boy entrancers' too, I think, could easily have been told in a lot less time, with less of the backing-and-forthing and wondering about what to do. That's not to say that it's a complete waste of time, it was still an enjoyable read, and I still came out of it talking and writing far too much like Georgia, but unlike the previous books, I don't know if I'll be going back to read this one again.

I'm sure I will read this series until its conclusion, just so I know what happens, but from now on, especially if the series continues like this, I think I'll just be getting them from the library instead of buying them. I'm not sure if they're really worth than anymore, as it's been dragging on a little too long. To me, and of course, other people with disagree, it's obvious who Georgia should be with, and I'm reaching the stage where I wish she'd stop pussyfooting about with boys who are 'gorgeous' but she can't talk to, to be with the one she really gets on with.

These books are laugh out loud funny! The only down side is that each edition leaves me wanting more!

WARNING: Do not read this book in public, unsuspecting passers by are continuously shocked by the bursts of laugher that are impossible to contain when reading this amazingly well written novel.

It was great in the sense that I got the chance to know what was happening next. This said nothing really does happen, it just seems it's the same pattern over and over again. Read more
