I wanted to write a review on this item as there was only 1 other.
I was looking around for a FM transmitter then realised you can get them with built in MP3 player. This model has 2GB build in which is more than enough car music. It has a USB connection and can be easily plugged into a computer. I'm running windows 7 and had no issues using.
The other good thing is Win7 Media player detected the device and I was able to set up a syn to sync my music to the device. I also wanted something to fit in my mazda 6 as there is a small compartment where the cigarette lighter sites with a lid. With this device I'm still able to shut the lid and hide.
This device playback is simple, i.e. it has next and previous track and pause. So if you sync lots of music it will take a long time to skip through. Although you can Sync playlists from windows media player to the device there is no way of playing the actual playlist. the music will be on the device but not accessible as a playlist
The device plays music in alphabetical order, doesn't appear to be a shuffle option. If you turn the power of the engine, or disconnect playback resumes from the last song, be it that it starts from the beginning of the song.
The quality is ok for FM. you need to select a frequency that is clear, i.e not near a live radio station frequency. The device has the ability to increase the volume; I had to move to FULL so not to turn my car stereo volume too loud, as this is annoying when changing to radio1 or a CD for example as the audio blasts out.
Comes with a remote, but I don't use, might be useful for a passenger, but you have to hold it close...I haven't played with this too much,
For 9.99 this is a good price. The build quality is ok. The auctual fm transmitter plugs into a car charger with USB connection hence can use this for other USB devices, i. To charge things.
