Excellent product,solid and strong and big enough to hold a full packed lunch,drink and ice-pack.The best thing about it is that it can be put in a dish of soapy water at the end of each school day and properly washed so doesn't have a build up of old food attached to it.Very worth while buying as does not need replaced every few months like the soft lunch boxes do,I wish I had bought one sooner.

I purchased this as I am annoyed with replacing the smelly soft lunchbags that seem to monopolise the lunchbox market at the moment. Its sturdy enough but my son happened to drop it coming home from school one day (the corner of the box hit the edge of the kerb) and it shattered and broke off the handle so couldn't be repaired. I didn't think they were able to be damaged so easily. Grrrrrr!

Like a previous reviewer, I have found these to be a bit fragile. I bought 3 of them because I too was fed up of the smelly soft ones (my son in particular is not great at finding a bin for his banana skins and apple cores, and just leaves them in his lunchbox to putrefy...)
They are great because they go straight into soapy water. But one of my kids managed to break the hinge trying to close the box over a water bottle he hadn't slotted in properly, and another dropped his and it shattered and had to be thrown away.
Big shame they're not sturdier; but after I had to dig out one of the soft ones from the back of a cupboard to replace the one that shattered, and the very first day it came back coated in squashed banana, I'm afraid I'm buying these again to replace the broken ones. I figure, I have to replace the soft ones every few months anyway, and these are at least less unpleasant while they last.

It does what is says, but...
I bought this lunchbox for my four year old. It's fine, but the catch is a bit tricky for little (or big) fingers. Very sturdy though and easy to wipe clean.
