Product Description

Review

"More magical games in paintings for a grumpy girl" (Amanda Craig The Times 20050917) --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

From the Back Cover

Lulu wants to play in the snow, but the snow is too cold for baby Willy. She does not want to go to the boring old museum to see the dinosaurs or the pictures. So she plonks herself on a bench and picks her nose. 'That's filthy! Use your hanky not your sleeve!' says a small voice behind her, and before she knows it Lulu is being swept off into the wonderful secret world of the museum. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting! 4 Jun 2003
Format:Paperback
Absolutely enchanting! Since discovering this book a couple of years ago I've run out of nephews, nieces and godchildren to send it to!
Lulu's exploits with her cherub friends in the museum are educational and enchanting, bringing art to life for those younger folk who may find museums and art galleries stuffy and boring.
As ever Posy Simmonds illustrations are perfect (can't really use enchanting again!).

4.0 out of 5 stars museums can be fun 22 Jun 2009
By focada
Format:Hardcover
My children loved this book and I loved reading it to them. A girl gets bored with her baby brother and wanders off in a museum where she has an adventure with a cherub (statue) and together they go into the pictures in the museum and have mini adventures before being reunited with a relieved daddy and a museum attendant. Clever writing, great pictures and an innovative story. even if second hand still worth getting

This story and picture book can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. A magical storyline, some subtle humour, beautiful illustrations and I'm-SURE-there's-a-message-for-kids-here-somewhere ("Don't pick your nose!", "Use your hanky... Not your sleeve!" and "Don't stand on the seat!") make for a wonderful read.
