Five year old Hannah enjoys this book, as it reminds her of her seaside holidays and favorite things like picnics, chocolate cake and ice creams. The pictures are colurful and fun too. Soon she will be able to read it herself. Hannah has asked for more Lucy and Tom books.

The Lucy and Tom books perfectly illustrate a happy child's life, from a day out at the sea-side to the quiet events of a day at home. The drawings are gorgeous, and a child of 2+ will love it.

These books are terribly dull for us parents because they go through all the monotonous details of the family's daily life. However little children (2-4) absolutely love this series. It comforts them to go through all the details of daily drugery. My son gets very excited about reading these Tom and Lucy books.
