What a great book. Our 4-year-olds loved it and so did we. The drawings are beautifully detailed and every time I look I see something new. The language is arcane and interesting and the story seems to have some authentic touches. I had to turn the pages while my wife was reading to the children to see what happened next. You won't be disappointed.

This book is suitable for 7 year old children.

I really loved this book. There aren't many kids picture books with both a hero and a heroine. Lucy and the Pirates is one of those. The illustrations are incredible! I love pirates and sea stories, and this one takes place in the 17th century. Perfect. I found this book at the Mystic Seaport Bookstore in Connecticut and boy was I pleased to see it on Amazon.com because it's a British book and not easily available in America.

This is a Great Book for a Six Year Old Girl

Our Six year Daughter loved it! Its one of the few books we have seen with female main character on an exiting adventure! The illustrations are marvoulous.
