Calvert is one of the most under-rated musicians around and this has everything -- at least for my taste -- Calvert, Eno and Moorcock together -- all of them very quirky, individual talents, coming together to make an album like no other. Moorcock's horrible banjo in Moonshine, the pure fun of Bar-Bar-Bar-Bar-bar-i-an, all sending up
American music genres while at the same time showing a clever understanding of American history. Enough to make you laugh AND cry. But
a brilliant, unique album. Well worth adding to your collection.
