Product Description

Product Description

We all remember the iconic yellow submarine from The Beatles film and now you have the chance to own your own. The Tea Sub gives your cup of tea that psychedelic feeling without bending your mind! The Tea Sub submerges tea leaves to the bottom of your cup, creating the perfect infusion of your favourite brew. Tea Sub is made of silicone and dishwasher safe (as well as being super cute).

Product Description

We all brew in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, we all brew in a..........you get the idea; it's an old school tea infuser in the style of a wacky psychedelic Beatles-esque submarine. Teabags are OK, in an eighties sort of way, but you can't beat a good old fashioned brew using real leaves.

I would not recommend this product,it is poorly designed & it leaks tea-leaves everywhere,it is awkward to clean the leaves out of it afterwards,I tried it with a variety of different black teas,& even tried it with a herbal mix,the result was the same a mug full of liquid with leaves floating in it,as a tea strainer/infuser it is utter pants,I have a Swissgold tea filter,I had my 1st one for 12 years ,until I stood on it,my new one is going strong,it makes brilliant tea & is easy to clean, unlike this gimmicky piece of rubbish.

TeaSub Tea Infuser - For The Perfect Tea Experience
Front of submarine pops off to allow you to pour loose leaf tea inside, then is easily pushed back on to close. Decent seal. Infuses tea effectively, but there are a few inevitable tea leaves that escape into the water - but this happens with most tea infusers anyway. Product is very easy to clean, and a cheerful novelty. Makes a cup of tea that bit more interesting! I love the design and bright colour. Would recommend this 'Yellow Submarine' to Beatles fans and tea lovers alike :-) Nice product, just wish it was a tad cheaper.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun to watch, not overly practical 5 Mar 2012
I had to go and buy a glass mug from Ikea just so I could watch it infusing!

I'm not sure if I'm putting the wrong amount of tea in but it never tastes the same as my teabags (but then, I take Yorkshire Tea ridiculously strong!)

It's a fun little item but I'm not sure if I had tea leaves everyday if I'd buy this - it's nice for the odd occasion. The whole Yellow Submarine/Beatles connection was what really appealed to me!

The holes along the side are a good size but there are other slightly bigger holes and I find the leaves can sometimes block them. Washing is relatively easy but it has become a bit stained.

Looking for a novelty item for a tea lover, definitely buy this and treat them to some nice tea while you're at it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Fails on all fronts 12 Jun 2014

Don't bother!

Nice little novelty but unfortunately it fails both as a submarine (doesn't sink) and as a tea infuser (the tea leaves leak out and don't infuse because it doesn't sink.

Major failure.

novel tea infuser bought as gift for son, we found it better not to use a fine tea as it filters threw the holes which spoilt the tea for me, but great for thicker tea blends. I will be using this seller again for other infusers, quick delivery, well packaged

I recently bought this for a friend's birthday coming up and she loved it! Though it did take a little while for it to take in enough water to sink to the bottom haha, perfect for a tea-lover's pressie, or even a little treat for yourself. Would recommend!

1.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Design, but not practical.
This, like the green T-Rex infuser suffers from one major design flaw - The holes are too big and let the tea leaves out!
