The sleeve effectively protects my laptop from bumps and water. Taking my laptop in and out of the sleeve is easy since the fold-over flap is held in place by velcro strips. The velcro is strong and I have had no problems with the velcro unsticking.
One slight downside, is that when the sleeve gets wet, the yellow colour of the exterior runs a little bit. This is hardly noticeable though and not really a problem.
Although the amount that you fold the flap down is adjustable, the width of the sleeve is too wide for my 13" screen Macbook (but not wide enough to turn my computer in the other direction). This should not be a problem for anyone with a larger laptop though.
Overall, good at protecting my laptop and is very discrete.

I bought this some time ago, (not from Amazon) and used it to take my laptop round the world. While travelling from Belize to the Cancun area by boat and bus I made the mistake of putting my rucksack with laptop and expensive Nikon camera into checked in baggage. My excuse was that I had a large, open, carrier bag to look after.
When we got to our hotel I discovered the rucksack had been opened and the camera was gone but the laptop, in its innocuous envelope, was still there. Of the two I preferred having the camera stolen. It was eventually replaced by my Nikon insurance and the only irreplaceable things were some photos of Belize; and blue sea, white sand and palm trees are easily got elsewhere. But the laptop had all my other photos - more than 5000 and lots of other precious information.
So not only does this envelope keep the laptop clean and scratch free, it keeps it from being stolen! A very good buy!!!

Bought this as a present for my son last Christmas for protecting his Macbook pro. He's really pleased with it. It has an inner red padded silky lining & you can adjust the closure to fit whatever you choose to put inside. The whole envelope has a nice feel to it. It's great for storing document's neatly away & takes up much less space than a box file. I would recommend this product.

Size!
Although advertised as being able to hold 17.5" laptop, my ASUS X73E 17.5" was far to large for this sleeve.

Looks great- but disappointed it was a generic size
