I've been following the Lucifer graphic novel series for a couple of years now, and the is the penultimate edition. It is also one of the best. Like many such things, Lucifer started strong, lulled in the middle but then returned to form by the end. Characters established early in the series play prominant roles in the twists and turns of this gripping story involving the fate of creation (three of them, in fact), which as one reviewer has noted, would serve as an effective end to the series as it is. The characterisation is excellent, with the titular character showing both dependence and manipulation in equal measure. We even get a conversation with God. Can you ask for anymore?
