In Love and Loyalty, Maria Savva has penned some very enjoyable little tales, usually with a twist. She excels at creating her characters and her stories portray people who are brought into delightful relief against the backdrop of their individual dramas. I think this is one of the most difficult tasks for a writer so Maria is to be congratulated on her skill. The wonderful thing about short stories is that you can pick them up and put them down whenever you have a moment. I would recommend this book.

A fabulous collection of stories that unearth the many facets of the human condition. They made me laugh, cry and certainly surprised me. Each story has a great hook and pulls you in until the end and have an easy to read style. The characters are believable and some are extremely 'funny to watch', not least due to the clever 'one-liners'. All of us can relate in one way or another.
Altogether, enjoyable and in places extremely insightful.
Recommended.

This collection of stories embodies what I've come to expect with Maria Savva's writing. She gets right to the heart of emotions, giving us sometimes unexpected insight into people's motivations.
These stories aren't tied together with a specific theme or even one genre. They do, however, all share one common component. All the characters are average people, going through their lives in ways each of us can relate to. Their travails will make you smile, perhaps gasp, and maybe even cry. They will make you think about things a little differently, which is part of the magic of Maria's writing.
