5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value 30 Aug 2008

This bag is well up to the high standards of finish and design from Lowepro products. It takes my D80 with grip and VR18-200 attached, along with 3 other lenses, filters, hoods, charger etc.
I like to be able to access equipment without doing a "handbag rummage".
This bag allows me to pack gear so that it is both secure and accessible.
I can see the sense behind the reverse open lid, but must admit it's taking me some time to get used to it (old dog-new tricks syndrome).

3.0 out of 5 stars Depends what you want to put in it 30 Nov 2008

I wanted to carry a Canon 40D with 17-85, and a 70-200 f4.0L, and the dividers provided just couldn't be arranged in any way that would hold this securely, even though this equipment could be arranged easily in a couple of configurations in the empty bag. If you have smaller lenses and can use it the way Lowepro intend (though I can't work out quite what the flappy bits on one of the dividers are meant to do, they just stopped me from doing what I wanted to do) it would be fine. Quality of workmanship is excellent, so no complaints on that score.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very well made, if not well planned 24 Mar 2010

I bought this bag for two reasons: for my video camera, and as overflow for the DSLR accessories that I can't fit in my Lowepro Slingshot.

As you would expect from Lowepro, this bag has all the usual attributes: quality materials, precise stitching, adequate padding, neutral grey interior (hello free exposure standard!), integrated rain coat, and comfortable shoulder strap.

The main flap covers a flat front pocket which has a number of slots for memory cards and other small accessories. The top of the bag zips open to reveal the main inner, which is divided up into six cells by movable dividers. There is a memory card pouch sewn into the inside of the top flap, and a carrying handle on top of the bag.

The dividers are not as versatile as I would like; although they can velcro to each other and to the walls of the bag you are very much limited in where you can position them due to their size. This seems trivial but can quickly become annoying when you are trying to make sure your camera is both protected, and immediately accessible. It would have been more productive of Lowepro to provide a couple of spare dividers of different sizes - it's not like they don't have any.

This bag is great for carrying accessories and lenses, but not so great for a DSLR with lens. Although theoretically there is plenty of room and the inside of the bag can be configured to conform to the shape of the camera, in practice I have found it to be quite a clumsy arrangement. I will be continuing to use my Slingshot as my main camera bag and this one for my video camera and extra bits.

That said, the bag is very well made and totally worth the money. As long as you don't mind having slightly limited options as far as movable dividers go.

I purchased this bag as a replacemnt for the rezo 160 which I found to be too small for my requirements. This is a good quality bag but larger than you would imagine - I need to go out and buy more camera accessories!!
