Hi,

Saw this Passport Sling at an airport and fell for it. Didn't buy it right away but read the reviews - and was convinced that this would be the bag for me. And I've bought a bunch of camera bags, with only 1 or 2 satisfying my needs. Having used it for over a month now, I am convinced. Love this bag.

I've used this Sling on at least two international trips, the first one where I carried a Canon DSLR and an Olympus Pen. The second trip, I had the main camera, a second lens, a smaller camera, my tablet, a notebook and bunch of other small items. Quite comfortable. Have walked miles with this bag (including riding pillion on a scooter in Vietnam!!!). The water+map holder also fits well.

If I have to nitpick, well, would have loved some velcro on the side bags and 1-2 pen holders.

Go for it. Would gladly recommend this.

briliant for when you are on the move. It does exactly what it sets out to, holds a professional SLR plus spare lens, nappy, spare pair of toddler trousers, etc.

The bag is fairly compact, I carry a Sony Nex 6 with a 19mm and a 30mm lens in it. I don't shoot DSLR's these days but if I did I don't think I'd be using this bag to carry my kit around in. You will probably get an entry level DSLR in the camera insert with a a kit lens or a little bigger, but any serious zooms just wouldn't fit.

The majority of the bag is taken up with the camera insert, this attaches to the inside of the bag with Velcro on the side rather than on the bottom like the Passport Sling 3. Unlike the sling 3 there is no dedicated tablet space but by sliding departing the Velcro from the insert on one side you can easily fit an regular ipad alongside.

The rest of the bag can be extended for extra space. To give a real world example of how much space this would be id say you would be able to fit a loaf of bread in the remainder of the bag with the bag fully extended.

There are a couple of internal velcroed pouches for things like a mobile phone, the positioning is not great and I'm not sure I'll ever use them. On the exterior of the bag you have three pockets all are open and can't be secured, again I'm not sure how much I'd use them.

Overall, a well made bag, an interesting shape that doesn't really bring much to the party other than its a bit different looking. I do have to disagree with many comments on its look, it still looks like a camera bag so if you want something totally different maybe this isn't for you.

On the plus side, it's well made, it's comfortable, there's plenty of space as a walk around bag for a CSC and kit. You can fit an iPad inside and it's not busting out, but overall it is small and discreet.

My man purchased this for his new Cannon camera, he wasn't sure whether to have a rucksack or this kind. He made the right choice, this bag is easily accessible while out and about and is just the right size for a camera it's lens and one extra lens and still has enough room for a bottle of water or other extras. It sits comfortably and doesn't feel like its a heavy burden to carry.

I am currently trying to pack a compact camera, an iPad, specs and guidebook into this bag, as I am going away tomorrow. It just doesn't work! It might make a good spongebag..... Or place to stuff a waterproof jacket..... But in terms of storing your precious camera and other bits, it is totally useless. What the hell were they thinking? What was I thinking when I bought it? An expensive joke.... It just goes to show there is no point in buying these sorts of things online.... There is no way I would have bought this if I had seen it in a shop. Utter crap.

Practical good quality bag for carrying my compact cameras. There is a padding for a camera which I remove as I don't have large camera ( DSLR /micro 4/3 etc ). I also use it for carrying other things that I need for my travel. There is an outside pocket for a small water bottle. There are also outside pockets suitable only for papers / small items. Unfortunately these outside pockets have no zippers. I wish I have waited for the Passport Sling III which have an inside pocket for a small tablet.

I wasn't happy with the sling bag. The shape makes it awkward to store things inside or to get them out easily. The shallow internal compartments are useless. Too loose to store SD cards safely; too small to keep my smartphone. The external pockets are not secure, and I found things easily fell out without warning. The bag was comfortable to wear, but that's about all I can say that's positive I"m afraid. A great shame, as the other reviews led me to think this was 'the one'!

I used this as a general tote whilst visiting Kampala in Uganda (where it's a good idea to keep your stuff close to you) with a group of young people. The ability to keep stuff in the inner 'box' as well as inside the bag, while carrying a bottle of water in the outside pockets, means that the bag needs to be opened only a small amount. The internal small velcro pockets (for memory cards I think) were great for knowing exactly where the diarrhoea tablets and paracetamols were. The strap adjusts a huge amount so you can make sure that the bag's fitted snugly across your body or extend the strap out if you want to. It went in the washing machine when I got it home and came up like new.
