These boots re by far the best I have ever had.

As a keen walker and member of the cadets earlier in life and now the TA. They are simply fantastic. Had the same pair for over 4 years now and only had to replace the insoles once. Have completed all Duke of Edinburgh award expeditions in the same boots as well as countless individual treks and general use. Also used massively during military operations. They never cease to be comfortable, and the high lip of the boot means that small streams, sometimes larger will pose no problem.

Definitely one of THE best value for money products around nowadays.

These are really great: very robust, warm and comfortable. I have been wearing this kind of boots for more than 12 years and these are, by far, one of the best pairs I have had. They remind me a pair of Bestard I had some years ago that were also kind of indestructible. Anyway, I had to tame them for a few days. The boots are the only footwear I use since I wake up until I go to bed again and the first days I was a bit tired after 14 or 15 hours, with some pain in the upper part of the shins. The pain disappeared after one week and now they feel like slippers. This boots feel also heavier and more rigid that some others, like the Magnum Stealth Force 8.0, that are very comfortable from the beginning. However, I find the Magnum extremely fragile, I had to replace them every few months because they were literally destroyed (holes, perforations, etc.). In this sense, the Lowa are ages away and I am almost sure that I will continue buying them during many many years :). In summary, totally recommended.

P.D: I am editing the review after more than one year using them every single day to say that they are as good as I was suspecting. Nowadays they have quite a lot of scratches outside but they are still in fantastic shape. I think that they will easily last until the end of the year, or even more. That is more than 10.000 hours!

I've been wearing my Lowas for about four years, heavily during the first couple of years, less frequently for the last two. They've seen snow, ankle-deep mud, river crossings, and probably the best part of 2,000 miles. In all that time they've never disappointed, and looking at them today they're in as good a shape as when they left the shop (with the exception of wear to the soles, of course). I've treated them reasonably in terms of keeping them clean and proofed, but certainly haven't babied them.I think what I most like about them, apart from the fit, is the quality of the leather. It's completely intact despite the punishment it's seen. Compare and contrast with a pair of £170 boots I've recently been using from another big-name manufacturer supposedly known for quality, which are coming apart - literally - after two years of the kind of treatment the Lowas have seen. Would I change anything about the Lowas? Not at all. I suspect that when I inevitably have to replace them, I'll opt for the shorter Lowa "mountain" boot or "Super Camp", as they're a bit lighter and I suspect that for me the combats are a bit of overkill. But that's just personal preference.

First out this is a review by a woman, which maybe useful to other women considering purchasing these boots. I bought these boots to replace some very comfy trekking/walking boots. I needed boots to cover all environments, street, trekking, snow, rain etc and these have passed the test with flying colours! . They are definately comfortable as soon as you put them on. The lacing is good and i lace them to anchor my heel so no slipping to cause blisters there are vids to show this way of lacing. . They are heavy ( about 10 oz per boot heavier than my old ones) and fairly stiff soles, but once you have walked a few km you really don't notice that. In fact they are reassuringly supportive. I love the high ankle design as I can walk through boggy ground and small streams with ease. I actually look forward to putting these boots on which says a lot! All in all Ihighly recommend them.

I am a prison officer and can spend up to 12 hours a day on my feet. These boots are perfectly comfortable and prevent that sharp pain in my heals that I get from wearing prison issue boots. I would recommend these boots to anybody who are on their feet a lot during the day or night.

These boots are unreal to say the least. They are extremely comfortable from the moment you put them on and don't require any breaking in. The way of lacing them is also very simple and quick unlike some other combat boots. These have been with me on many camping/wilderness trips and they have not let me down. The tongue is also attached to the sides of the boots so that water can't get in at all. I've walked through streams coming out with my feet completely dry. Although these boots may be rather expensive they are worth every penny, for practical and aesthetic value. I'd recommend these to anyone who enjoys any outdoor activity and doesn't want to have to worry about their feet being dry or getting blisters. The delivery was also very quick.
