This is a very attractive cookbook, sumptiously illustrated and full of comparatively easy recipes. The emphasis is very much on low-fat and makes use of Mediterranean staples such as red & green peppers, red onions, tomatoes, aubergines, garlic, mushrooms, olives, leafy salads and herbs, thus guaranteeing you some splendid colour contrasts in your dishes. The use of peas to make a low-fat alternative guacamole was truly inspired. Only criticism is that the main courses (with the exception of the deliciously hearty moussaka you can see on the cover and which I made a couple of days ago) may strike you as slightly insubstantial. You can, of course, always bulk them out with further ingredients of your choice.
For the vegetarian fed up with ubiquitous Quorn products and conscious that they may be consuming too much cheese and eggs, this is a highly recommended purchase.
Although used, my book was in near-perfect condition and arrived promptly and well-packaged.
