having recently become a widower, I have had to learn to cook and look after my catering. This turned out to be a first class book with a whole range of very good recipe's and has enabled me to gain confidence and enjoy the art of cooking. I would heartily endorse this book for beginners and people who enjoy food.

Good for ideas 18 Jun 2010
By SJSmith TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
This book is good for ideas but I haven't found the recipes to be successful for the number of people stipulated. I've cooked ten exact recipes from the book and all have failed. I've modified them and achieved. Don't follow them to the letter, instead if you do buy this book work out how to change them. If you're wondering what I mean by failed, I followed the recipes exactly and altered them for two people (so if it said for four people I halved the ingredients) and there was barely enough for one person.
