Some lovely recipes, but some things aren't absolutely clear. In the recipe for risotto, it says to use cauliflower rice as an ingredient, but doesn't say whether this is in its cooked or raw state when added as an ingredient. There are a couple of other recipes I haven't tried yet that mention sausage as an ingredient, but it's only guesswork that I'm assuming from the cooking time she is referring to pre-cooked sausage rather than raw.

Measurements are aimed at a South African audience and some are in ml where a UK audience would be expecting grams or ounces or spoon sizes.

Overall, I've found some things we really like, so am happy to recommend.

I bought this book because, I'm new, to the low carb way of eatingand, although I don't have children, living with me anymore, I love the simple recipes, easy to get ingredients ( U.K.) and they are very tasty. I am 60 and, have only been eating this way, for a few months. I have never felt so well and my craving for sweet food as disappeared. Highly recommend.

Excellent recipes - all the ones that I have tried so far have been really delicious and easy! I have been reducing carbs in a bit of a half hearted way and have still lost 9 pounds in a few weeks - having been a yo-yo dieter for more years than I care to remember trying every low fat diet available that never worked - this is the first thing that has ever been a pleasant, delicious and easy way to lose weight - I never feel hungry any more! I still cant quite grasp the concept of lots of lovely cheese, cream and garlic butter and still the weight drops even though I understand the science of it - fantastic way to eat! I feel generally healthier for the change in diet too - no more indigestion!

Simple, straightforward recipes using ingredients I actually have.

My health and weight have drastically improved over the last year since cutting out bad carbs from my diet.

I wanted to prepare meals for the entire family, from primary age to teens.

Fortunately, they are used to eating 'good' food. The challenge I faced was routine, structure and consistency with a busy lifestyle, for which this book is invaluable.

I would highly recommend it for busy families who need a little assistance in maintaining a healthy low carb diet.

My only regret is not buying it in paper form. I do like my cookbooks. I may buy it anyway!
