5.0 out of 5 stars Low fat -ish but high in calories 11 Dec 2003
I was dissapointed with this book as the calorie content of each meal was my whole days calories in one, even though the fat content was low. However, even some of the meals fat contents are above 10 which if you are on a diet is not helpful.

However, it clears shows details and pictures. It identifies the fat and calorie content too which most books don't so you can choose fancier meals for one off's knowing that the calories are high, but the fat low. I probably would not have purchased it if I had known this information first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tasting, easy and quick recipes 19 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This book has become part of my day-to-day cooking. Not only does it provide ideas for daily cooking but also provides for entertaining and snack food. Apart from great and simple recipes a lot of tips and tricks can be derived to be applied to other recipes to reduce their fat and calorie contents. All in all a good addition to every cook's recipe book repertoire.

5.0 out of 5 stars Low Fat Meals in Minutes - Excellent 8 Jan 2006
By A Customer
I have quite a few of these books and can recommend all of them. They are reasonably priced for the amount of recipes and the recipes work very well. From this book I often make the Quick Banana Bread as my husband loves cakes/slices and this is good to cut at during the week. It also frezes well.

The Sections in the book are 'on the table in 30 minutes' - The Moroccan Beef Salad is excellent or the Stir fried mexican beef, 'Prepare ahead' - Hoisin Pork Kebabs - so easy! and Carrot and lentil soup for when you want something warming for lunch, 'Accompaniments' - lots of different ideas for ways to present veg etc, 'Desserts' - the creamy chocolate dip with fruit is great when you need that fix!, 'Snacks' - lots of dips things to go with and some canape/finger food ideas that could also be used for a party or for a wine with the girls night in and 'Breakfasts and drinks' - includes some ideas for smoothies, pancakes, porridge, muesli etc. Overall for the price an excellent book and a good introduction to the rest of the AWW range.

First, although I bought a used copy, it looks like new.
It has a very wide variety of recipes and so far all of them worked out, the flavors are nice!
