A very informative guide, small and to the point, though not a cook or recipe book.

Easy to read, can be read and reread in the time it takes to drink a cuppa, certainly made me explore the ketogenic diet further, which I've now been on successfully for several weeks.

Extremely useful and life changing! This is Not one of those "make me rich by buying this book" books. This is a thin little manual with very simple rules to follow. There are many published studies to prove this method of eating works for even the most over weight /obese people. Even if you can't/don't like to exercise, you lose weight and get healthier. You can Google this doctor and the work patient based, published studies he has done. Really amazing results.

It's biology 101: starch turns to sugar turns to fat in our bodies. Sugar turns to fat in our bodies. Fat burns fat, so if you stop eating food that adds to the fat, the fat burns itself off!
Do I miss the things that have to be eliminated - absolutely! But am I ever hungry - never! Am I tempted to "cheat"? I would only be cheating myself.
Cannot recommend this highly enough!

A tiny little book - 16 pages of text - designed I think as a handout to people undertaking the Low Carb ketogenic diet. The diet is described concisely with no recipes, extensive waffle or anything - just the facts and space to record your progress. Good nevertheless.

Uses "total carbohydates" which is American for "carbohydrates plus fibre" on UK labels.

The video at [...] is a good companion.

This is actually just 18 pages, padded out with another 8 pages of empty log-book.

It's probably my fault for not reading the product description, but I expected a book on Westman's insight into ketosis, instead I got what is basically an advice leaflet for his patients. It's something that I'd expect to download off a website for free.

I admire Westman and his work as an advocate of low-carb greatly, but this isn't worth the money.
