This book is a general overview of the low carb diet. It leans more toward a "slow carb" than no carb which includes beans. This is closer to my philosophy. It includes about a dozen recipes and some links for more info.

Only gave 3 stars because there is not that much info for the price. I would not pay more than 99 cent for this.

How can you put out a low carb recipe Book but not include any nutritional facts? They do not list the carb content of the food.

Loved it. These recipes use everyday ingredients. I really love that she looks more towards nutrition rather than the typical high saturated fat, low carb diets we are used to seeing.

I've read, or started to read, many of the BIG low carb diet books. They all have their merits, I'm sure, but they can sure get tedious! I mean, how much science do you REALLY want when learning about a diet and how it works? I just want to know the basics: why does it work, how does it work, and what can I eat?

This eBook is the perfect low carb diet guide. It's a fast read that explains the "whys and hows" quickly and without a bunch of gobbledegook that I don't need to know. In just a few pages, I understood the difference between good carbs and bad carbs, and how to eat a balanced diet and still lose weight.

There are enough recipes to keep me happy, and I appreciate the fact that the recipes are frugal and easy to make. Some of those recipes in the BIG low carb books are complicated, and with ingredients I would never consider buying. This is a basic guide that explains the low carb diet in simple terms and offers good recipes to try. That's all I wanted and the Hillbilly Housewife delivered!
