5.0 out of 5 stars Untangling the Tangled Web, 20 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Having been intimately involved in the Mary Kay Letourneau debacle, I awaited the release of this book with fear and trepidation. Would the author be fair? Would his objectivity be swayed by her seemingly mesmerizing charm, as it had other journalists who had interviewed her? Would he see through the fog of her "love story" and help piece together the truth? Happily, Gregg has delivered an impressive piece of investigative journalism that far exceeds my expectations. He has done an incredible job of keeping his objectivity and allowing the reader to decide for him or herself the "truth". I see a tragedy of epic proportions, drawn out through snapshots into her life that reveal the true essence of who Mary Kay Letourneau REALLY is, not the love struck martyr she wants everyone to believe she is, nor the horrifying monster the prosecutors think she is. Well done, Gregg!! I read it in one evening - and the details pierced my heart. A must read for ANYONE who has followed this story, no matter what their opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gregg Olsen is an excellent writer., 30 Aug 1999
By A Customer
I loved the book, I couldn't put it down. I have read three of Gregg Olsen's books and all of them have been excellent. I look forward to reading the rest of his books and any more that he puts out. He places a different light on what happened behind the scenes with Mary Kay Letourneau and her lover. Not everything is black and white and Gregg Olsen proved it. He did a lot of research and is good about not being bias in his writing. I recommend this book and any other books that he has written. I look forward to anything else he may produce in the future. Gregg, keep up the good work. I'm not much of an author follower but you and Ann Rule may change me yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars A serious and balanced book., 14 Aug 1999
By A Customer
Gregg Olsen has done an incredible job of piecing together the facts. If Loving You is Wrong puts everything else that has been written about Mary Kay Letourneau to shame. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about the case or are just plain sick of hearing about it, this book will grab you and make you think.
