Lovely Summery Movie, 11 Jan 2008
This is a great film, especially if you love Amanda Bynes or Jonathan Bennet (Aaron in Mean Girls) but if you don't it's still good!
Funny in places, romantic in others, it has a good message (as Amanda explains on the special features!) about not becomming too obsessed with rock stars, and remembering that your soul-mate may be right in front of your eyes!
It's set at a beautiful holiday resort that reminds you of fun in the sun on your hols, and the lovely sunshine in the movie always makes me happy on rainy winter nights!
It's not too predictable - I certainly wasn't expecting the ending! but it is a lovely ending and having watched it I wouldn't want it to end any other way!
Overall a lovely film to watch with the girls, your mum/daughter and even the boys (I made my brother watch it and he quite enjoyed it!)
Enjoy! :)

A Decent Chick Flick, 14 Jun 2007
2007's "Lovewrecked", the latest tween-targeted teen comedy to boast the immensely talented Amanda Bynes, may not be the product of ingenuity with regards to laugh count, but its funny enough and sweet enough to make for adequate viewing. Moreso thanks to the comic talents of the aforementioned lead actress, "Lovewrecked" overcomes a perilously generic plot and a formulaic pattern throughout to qualify as one of the best recent teen comedies released. Granted that's hardly the most difficult task for any film, but "Lovewrecked" nevertheless deserves recognition as such. The humour within never amounts to much substance, but the mixing of pop-cultural references and media satire elevate this above its mostly moronic peers. It's filler, yes, but its good filler.
Vacationing in the Caribbean, eccentric teenage girl Jenny Taylor (Amanda Bynes) is desperate to meet her favourite singer, Jason Masters (Chris Carmack), who is also staying at her holiday resort. She does more than simply meet her dream man, however, when the two fall into the ocean at night on-board a boat party. Marooned on an island seemingly hundreds of miles from their resort, the two bond and get to know each other as they await rescue and try to survive in the humid conditions. That's not necessarily the case though. Unbeknownst to Jason, they're just three miles away from their actual resort, with the beach they're apparently marooned on being on the exact same island. Jenny know this, but in a bid to get close to her favourite singer better keeps it a secret. Meanwhile, her friend Ryan Howell (Jonathan Bennett) sits around back at the resort worrying about her, who he secretly loves.
Amanda Bynes perhaps isn't given the material of her 2006 gender-bender comedy "She's the Man" in "Lovewrecked". However, her eager-to-please attitude and enthusiasm shines through and, much like the aforementioned teen comedy of last year, the beautiful young actress elevates the quality of the motion picture immeasurably. Chris Carmack isn't outstanding as Jenny's potential love interest, singer Jason Masters. Shown mostly as a sideshow to the Bynes-focused central character study, Carmack is restricted by the material but doesn't particularly shine with what he's given. Better is Jonathan Bennett as Ryan Howell, a guy struggling to communicate his true feelings for Jenny directly to her and having to watch while she crushes after a pop star, who he doesn't believe he can compete with. Other performances are irrelevant, with too much emphasis put upon one of Masters' agent's sideshow that could have been scrapped to allow more focus upon the core plot. Fred Willard will star in anything for a quick buck, so needs mention if only to confirm that this doesn't result in another horrific stinker ("Lovewrecked" is no "Epic Movie").
"Lovewrecked" doesn't inspire hysterical fits of laughter within its entire running time. Instead, giggles aplenty ensue with innocent jokes reminiscent of that other Bynes' vehicle of last year. It may not be an example of intelligent, adeptly placed humour but when Jenny is given a temporary job as a lifeguard her first "rescue" of a less-than-unconscious pervy young boy had me laughing. That's generally how it is in "Lovewrecked", which sticks strictly to the sort of deadpan humour fans of this genre (read: tween girls) will appreciate.
Many will find annoying "Lovewrecked"'s generic undercurrents and unambitious plotting (we can predict how things are going to end up fifteen minutes in). Obvious criticisms aside, "Lovewrecked" is sufficient entertainment that doesn't attempt to challenge its audience with vague jokes and instead attempts outright humour. You'll like it or hate it, I suppose.

A Carriabean Adventure!!! , 10 April 2008
This movie loved Wrecked was really brill! It is set near the Carriabean Islands, in a Beautiful 5 star hotel. She (Jenny Taylor) goes with her best friend Ryan, and they are life savers and waiters there on their summer worker scoloship, to get some money for Uni!However one day she is washed overboard with her favourite popstar the man that she wants to pick her off her feet. They are then trapped on a derserted Island. More trouble yet, he has sprained his ankle. He thinks their marooned (but he dosen't know that until Jenny goes off and relized they are on the same Island as before), and she plans to keep it that way! UH UH UH Sneeky I'll say. A weird and unexpected end which is scary, but fun!
A happy funny comedy that will get you laughing non stop. What a girl wants was my first Amanda Bynes movie and this was my second, and I think she is such a fantastic film acter that I'm going to buy some more.
Just to let you know the reveiws are awsome!
