I loved this whole set of books but this one was really special to me. The verse that Clark gave Missy and her husband as they left for their journey has inspired me since I read the book. If you haven't read the book, I stongly encourage you to do that but be sure and read the first two books first. Isa. 41:10
Missie has to get used to living in a 'soddy' - a one-roomed building that seems as if it must be made of mud. She raises her son there for the first two years before her husband starts work on their proper home, to be built of stone.
Those who are following the books through are going to love this one.
