Great to hear a Lewis Taylor song getting played ... unlike one of the other reviewers I'm thrilled that someone with the profile of Robbie has picked up the song. Lovelight is only one of MANY fantastic, original, groovy tracks from Lewis - check out Stoned Part II which is fabulous from start to end. He's also a great live performer (one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen at the Jazz Cafe early 2006). So if you've never heard of Lewis Tylor before, now's your chance to find some of the best, most original and brilliantly performed music around.

This track was written and sung (very recently!) by a completely underrated chap called Lewis Taylor. This fantastic creation has now been crowbarred into the cheesy confines of Rudebox and Mr Williams will now ride off the back of someone else's masterpiece for the next few months. Can everyone PLEASE go out and buy Lewis Taylor's back catalogue, as he has a silky, soulful voice, fantastic songwriting talent, hence he deserves far more success than Mr Williams and his cunning record label moguls. It's about time people appreciated genuine songwriting talent and vocal ability and recognised how often record companies and lazy 'performers' use the material of infinitely more gifted artists to reap their ill-gotten gains. Elton John even once touted Lewis Taylor's more recent CD (Stoned Part 2) on late night TV, alas this probably did more harm than good!! Lewis is a professional musician, songwriter and vocalist...Mr Williams would make a useful roadie and warm-up comedian for Lewis's gigs.
