Format:Audio CD
This album is full of craft and quality. It has a varied muscial background, the quality songwriting variously supported by keyboards, glockenspiel, harpsichord and electronic beats as the album progresses. His voice is subtle, although it seems a bit stretched on the faster passages and and is perhaps the weakest link in the album. The songs are introspective and personal but not glum.
Above all, despite some similarities in places with Badly Drawn Boy, Turin Brakes and Tom McRae this is an excellent individual effort of consistent quality.

This is the most enchanting album I've heard since Talk Talk's "Spirit of Eden" and "Laughing Stock". It's something you won't grow tired off. Highly recommended.

This album by Merz is absolutely brilliant. Full of great grooves, real emotion, and mind-blowing melodies. You have to get a copy. You will still be listening to this in 5 years time!
