5.0 out of 5 stars Classic lesbian romance novel, 17 Mar 2010
By
S. Emery "alternatives4women" (Cornwall, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Love, Zena Beth (Paperback)
-------------------------------

Zena Beth Frazer, world famous leabian author - sexy witty, outrageous - is recovering from her sensational love affair with the sports superstar Helena Zoe.

For Joyce Ecco walking into Zena Beth's new york hotel to interview her, just being in the same room is a fantasy come true.

The interview leads to dinnar and dinner leads to a roller coaster affair culminating in an invitation to live with Zena Beth in her Southern home.

Will Joyce give up her lover, friends and job to chase a dream?
Will the dream hold up in the clear light of day or prove shallow?

This book caused a sensation because of its character background and this passionate novel of love and jealousy has a ring of truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic writing - this is an excellent novel, 1 Oct 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Love, Zena Beth (Paperback)
"Love, Zena Beth" is truly one of the best novels I've read in a long time. Part of it's appeal lies in the fact that it is skillfully written, but it also has the authenticity of feeling often lacking in novels (lesbian novels in particular). The book has many humorous moments as well as powerfully sensual scenes. The characters are multidimensional. The dilemma and feelings experienced by the protagonist are as real as I've ever found in print. This author is very talented.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended., 2 Nov 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Love, Zena Beth (Paperback)
This is one of the best novels I've read in a long time. Salvatore makes the experience very realistic for the reader... almost uncomfortably so. The style of writing is excellent and it is clear that this author is quite skilled. It is easy to get lost in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could Be Subtitled `Why NOT to Get Involved With an Older Woman', 2 Mar 2009
By K. Johnson - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Love, Zena Beth (Paperback)
Zena Beth Frazer is a crazy, older woman. She is obsessed with her ex so refuses to get emotionally involved with anyone else. However, she has no reservations about getting physically involved. Her current interest is reporter Joyce Ecco. Joyce is 19 years younger than Zena Beth. In fact, Joyce has always had a crush on the popular older woman. Zena Beth lures Joyce into an almost unbelievable situation where Joyce leaves her long-time girlfriend and sets out on an adventure. Joyce holds out hope that Zena Beth will eventually fall in love with her, but that may never be the case. You'll have to read it to find out what happens.

I like Diane Salvatore's writing. She rarely goes with formula and frequently interjects a lot of imagination in her stories. That is certainly the case here.

Bottom line - Sure, it's an older book, but it's a really good one. Highly recommended by this reader.
