5.0 out of 5 stars `Oh my Mommy loves me so!' 11 Aug. 2014
By Grady Harp - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Indian author and illustrator Pooja Sardana has been hailed as the Unsung Hero in 'Saga of the Unsung Heroes of India' and in addition to her fine work in writing and illustrating she is a co-founder of PictureBookTree, a resource for those working with underprivileged children. Her innate warmth and kindness shines through her children's books.

I LOVE YOU MOMMY is Pooja Sardana's first book in this series and it is a tender story of the devotion between a little boy and his mother. The mother wakes her son in the morning, prepares his clothes for the school day, prepares his breakfast, does his wash and sends him off to school in the school bus. When school is over, the boy returns home to meet his mother who has just returned from the grocery store. She prepares his dinner of pasta, helps him with his homework, and encourages his sports. When the little boy goes to his room to read he finds his room messy and he goes to find his mother to read to him, but having worked for her son all day, his mother is sleeping. Feeling just a bit guilty the boy goes back to his room, cleans it up completely as a gesture of thanks for all the things his mother has done for him that day, then he wakes up his mother and takes her to the table to eat the food he has prepared for her. At bedtime the mother kisses her son goodnight but as she prepares to leave, the little boy holds her back to tell her he loves her. `She doesn't need to say anything. For we are bound forever. No words are needed to show, That we both love each other so!'

For children reading this book the message of how much a mother does for her children is loud and clear - and the fact that children should appreciate their mother is equally clear. This is a fine little story, well-illustrated, with lessons every child should learn. A beautiful little book for bedtime stories. Grady Harp, August 14
5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE? 16 Oct. 2014

What's not to like? This kindle book is short and sweet. It traces the day of a young boy from the time he gets out of bed to tucking in at night. Each page contains a rhyme and a picture of mother and child expressing the numerous ways a mother shows love for a child in her actions during the day. Toddlers will understand the message that a mother's love is unlimited by looking and listening to the story. I just wish that the illustrations were a bit larger.

The author shares her work free of charge with organizations who work with children if they email her. See Amazon listing.
3.0 out of 5 stars Simple and sweet 19 Dec. 2014

This book was pretty cute. The drawings were simple but I began to appreciate that about them. The book is about a young boy appreciating the things his mother does for him. What mother wouldn't enjoy a story like this one written by Pooja Sardana. I don't understand why the book is categorized under "poetry" but perhaps it got rushed there on accident. The 1 million copies not sold yet is pretty funny, I had a chuckle.

Beautiful. This is a common problem moms face and what a nice way to depict pictorially. Very nice illustrations and story plot. My daughter loved it. Mom loved even more!
