5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, and I'm a GIRL!! 11 Dec 2009
Format:DVD
I'll be honest, I bought this DVD mainly because I have a bit of an obsession with Eric Bana but I actually really enjoyed this. I loved the psychological aspects of it where Dr Phil was consulted, and Jeremy Clarkson and Jay Leno's inputs. It also gave a good personal insight into Eric Bana himself, rather than just the movie star we are used to seeing on the big screen.
It was pretty emotional near the end which I didn't expect, and makes you think about things so much more differently.

If you think that it's possible to develop a relationship with a car, please see this film.
It's a very well built documentary about the relationship that Eric shares with his Beast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This Like The Beast 5 Jan 2010
Format:DVD
This is a great docuflick.
Petrol heads and Eric Bana fans alike will love this one. The chats with Clarkson and Leno are a pleasure to sit in on. The scenery and how it's shot is stunning and the sound track well what can it be other than superb your listening to a V8 engine doing it's job. I'm pleased that the film is now in my library it's one to watch again and again.

:After 25 years of hard work and precious restoration, Hollywood A-lister Eric Bana and his three closest childhood friends decided to enter his beloved first car, a Ford GT Falcon Coupe - THE BEAST, into one of the most gruelling and dangerous motor race that exists: The Targa Tasmania Rally. This would be a personal Everest for both man and machine... With help and guidance along the way from Jeremy Clarkson the stage is set for Bana and his 'Beast' to face their ultimate challenge.
WHAT CAN I SAY?Fantastic !!! If you like your cars it's a great way to spend 88 mins. One mans love for his car, which lets face it we've all been through..Love the Beast (2009) is a documentary directed by actor Eric Bana. In this movie Bana attempts to understand the relationship between men and their cars.

Bana is an entertaining character and works hard to make this documentary very interesting.
Also good to see the human side of a Hollywood A lister
Bana comes across and as a top bloke and there's some entertaining HILARIOUS moments with Jay Leno and Jeremy Clarkson .
If you like Top Gear in any way you'll love this
