Since leaving college, heart-breaker Phil Fazzulo and jock Dennis Nolan aren't doing quite as well as they had expected. In fact they're stuck working in Sal's Pizza Palace and every evening when their friends arrive, they have to duck out of sight to avoid being recognised. When Sal leaves town and the boys in charge of the restaurant, they think they may finally end up having some fun, but things just go from bad to worse...

What can you say about films like this? The young, likeable cast of Love Sucks does not disappoint, and the dialogue carries subtle undertones of sarcasm and slapstick humour. If you've got your mates round and you want a laugh, you could do much worse than watching Peter Facinelli and Dash Mihok scrape their way through adult life. And what about the girls? Jennifer Love Hewitt is both inspired and beautiful, and is another added bonus for you and the lads. Once you've finished the film why not try the quiz, again a bit of a boys thing being entirely based on WWF! Try it, it might grab you like its hooked me. In this film, love most certainly does suck!

Incredibly low level trash. Even the 'prettiness' of Hewitt gets one to believe she is shallow and a waste of attractiveness in real life.

This was such a disappointing movie. The previews made it seem like it would be great--starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Peter Facinelli and Matthew Lillard. All three of them had been in movies I loved before like Can't Hardly Wait. But this was a very disappointing movie.
First the majority of the movie takes place in a pizza parlor where Dash and Facinelli work. It is mostly about life after school where some people are going off to make the most of their lives and these guys are working in a slow pizza place. Hewitt is by no means the star or even a major role in this movie--she palys an obnoxious girl and is on screen for a total of less than 15 mintues. A total waste. And Lillard plays his usual role as a hotshot, but like Hewitt, has his talent completely wasted in this film.
I was so disapointed in this movie. I expected more from a cast that had produced other great movies in the past. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this movie.

from the summary on the back of the video tape the film sounded good - how wrong can you be! After 30 mins of suffering i turned the video off - but did finish watching it the next day but it was just as awful. The film is slow moving to the point that nothing really happens at all. The main actor was dreadful and the other actors that were good hardly got any on screen time. The cover for the video has 2 girls and 2 boys - the girls are on screen for a few minutes only.
Basically a total waste of money - i wouldn't recomend anyone to buy this movie.

Even the stunning Jennifer Love-Hewitt could not provide an uplifting performance to justify rating this movie any higher. It obtains this raiting simply because of content, not quality.
