This Stones single means a lot to me. It signalled a new album was finally coming up after a five year dry spell of new material only briefly abrupted by the Highwire/Sex Drive singles. The single answered the many questions most Stones fans were asking at this time: How would it sound without Wyman and were they really capable of writing yet another album of new songs in their 4th decade as The Stones? Well, this great lil record certainly proved that the boys were still kicking!
This catalogue number is the Maxi/EP version with four tracks: The title track, the slow blues number 'The Storm', a faboulus shuffle 'So Young' and finally an encore of 'Love Is Strong' in a slightly more reverb'y mix by Bob Clearmountain. For collectors: There is a two-track version with only 'Love Is Strong' and 'The Storm' as well as remix version with catalogue no. VSCDX1503 - and of course the t-shirt.
