In 2009, Danielle Steel heard Jerome Gauthier play the piano at the Hotel George V in Paris and asked him if he ever played for private parties. He said he did and provided a group to play with him at a dinner party she gave shortly after. The evening was a great success and the first of many like it. Two years later, Jerome, composer and musician, asked Danielle if she would consider writing lyrics for his compositions. After declining initially, she became intrigued by the idea, and they were joined by two other composers, Jerome Durand and Flavien Compagnon, and the fun began. Long nights in her Paris kitchen ensued where sometimes she wrote lyrics in French and English for their music and at other times they wrote music for her words. It was a constant exchange and collaboration of ideas and inspiration as each member of the group brought their special talents, excitement, and passion to the work. A host of songs were created over the last two years and Jerome Gauthier (pianist and composer), Olivier Pain-Hermier (guitarist and arranger), and DanielleSteel formed an alliance to produce their songs. After two years of composing in Danielles kitchen, they moved on to the studio to record their work. The group grew to include seven musicians, two singers (Laurent Ban and Johannah Cantwell), and several arrangers.
