...concerning various versions of this album have finally been addressed on this deluxe package. Every missing song or b-side (plus more stuff never before released) can now be found here. If you're a newcomer (to the band in general, or just to their earlier, pre-"Missing" work), this is a perfect entry point. It's their second album and, even though Eden (their debut) remains a firm fan favorite, you can always head there next. This is the duo fully realizing their intent--in terms of both sound and lyric--and it's proven to be truly timeless stuff. (Note: Perhaps confusingly for US fans, Sire released a self-titled album that includes tracks from both of these first two releases, but this reissue campaign seems to have returned everything to its right place.) Bravo.

I discovered this album in the early ninenties. After that, I could not help looking for other EBTG albums from the Eighties. So I realized it was one of the Eighties best pop band, with a very light and fine touch, yet never superficial or easygoing (like most of the musicians from that era). This album is definitely worth having, especially for 3 tracks: Ballad of Times, Anytown and This love is not for sale (where they reveal all their music skills and their unexpected bounds to jazz music). EBTG were far better in that decade, before they turn to a cold and anonymous techno band in the Nineties. Listen to this album, then by 2 others (phenomenal): "Eden" and "Acustic"

I love this album! This version is very good. I bought a vinyl many many years ago and until that is my preferred album from EBTG
