Ok well, if you're reading this review then you've probably already got Tattoos and Alibis so I won't need to tell you how great that album was. I imported this album from the US so I don't have the last two bonus tracks, but it was still worth it, been waiting for a new album since I finished listening to the last one!
This album is a little more rock(nothing heavy though), a bit less acoustic orientated than the last album, but then you wouldn't want another album exactly the same, would you? The opener 'Johnny or Elvis' is quite similar sounding to the opening on the last album, Mysterioso, but a bit rockier. Elements of upbeat Rolling Stones type rock in 'I Don't Know what to Do' 'Ain't Comin' Round', and 'Anybody Wanna Waste Some Times', with a hint of Bryan Adams (please don't shoot me for saying that..I mean it in a good way) and a good mix of more thought provoking songs, like Lonely Moon (my personal favourite..very haunting mix of guitars and voice), Cold September (prob my other fav) which goes from sad to bouncy, hard to pull off but it works a treat.
All in all not a dud song on this album, a bit more rock guitar in this one than the last one, and the over all feel a bit more upbeat, but all the elements of Tattos and Alibis that made it so good. And if you get the chance to see him live, it's what made me buy his album in the first place, best support act i've ever seen (He was supporting Def Leppard, who have quite a hand in both albums too)
You won't be disappointed, buy it now!

Nothing like the brilliant Almighty, but still an excellent modern adult-rock type record. Similar in style to Del Amitri, with a little Leppard thrown in. Highly recommended.

mmmmmyeah it's good!!! 6 Jun. 2005

I have listened to this CD a lot! Ricky just keeps putting out better and better stuff! This CD has a good variety - instrumental, lyrically and sound, each song is put together very nicely!

There are a few Rockier fun tunes like `Johnny or Elvis?', `Long Way Back To Nowhere' (<-one of my favorites) `I Don't Know What To Do', `Anybody Want To Waste Some Time' and `Ain't Comin' Around'. Great guitar sounds spread nicely throughout the album.

I just love Ricky's voice (talented guy) and he has some very nice backing vocals done by Regina Norton, Emm Gryner, Joe Elliott, and Dick Decent also.

There are songs with upright bass, banjo, and harmonica. `Guilty' has piano and the banjo mix that sounds great and is also one of my favorites. Some of the more mellow songs just add all the more to this album - `Even Now', `Lonely Moon', `New Neighbors Old Fences' `Come Back Home To Me'. `Cold September' is one of my favorites with the acoustic guitar and piano weaving together nicely throughout.

Another favorite that has almost a carousel feel to it is `Learning To Fall'.

Heck, it's just plain worth it every penny and then some, spent on it!!!

Hi guys,i think that this cd is very interesting and it is several rock of the precedent.Sound that recalls the John Mellencamp rock and the agreements are solar and has a pleasant one and in a few songs as Lonely Moon turned out very much stimulating.I consider Ricky Warwick one as big both acoustic and electric talent thanks also to the featuring with Joe Elliot of the Def Leppard and the big Vivian Campbell guitarist. all the songs are beautiful whats stand out I am: As Back To home I,the Rocker years 60 Ain't Comin'round,Even Now, New Neighbors, Old Fences, Long Way Back To Nowhere, Sometimes Even Losers, the Don' t Know What To round I give, Anybody Wanna Waste Some Time? The very beautiful turn of guitar of Johnny Or Elvis and the splendid Lonely Moon in other words a Cd to buy for true keens on the true rock !

I have not heard Ricky Warwick's CD's yet and just learned of him last night when he opened for Def Leppard and Bryan Adams. When you first see someone relatively unkown singing by himself with an accoustic guitar and no band opening for popular artists, you think "Oh this can't be good for this guy!" (You know how fickle audiences can be) Well....this guy was great! I loved his style of music and the lyrics. Vivian Campbell came out and sang two songs with Ricky and it was awesome. I brought my 19 yr old son to the concert and he was equally impressed so this guy's music speaks to everyone. We are both looking forward to listening to both Ricky's CD's and look forward to more from this talented artist.
Nice to listen it... 7 Jan. 2009

I had listened Ricky's music with The Almighty at the end of the 80's and I loved their first three albums. But this one and "Tattooes and alibis" (the other Rick's solo album I got) ain't got nothing to do with them. Love many... is like being with the Rick singing to you with his acoustic guitar at your living room. It's a personnal album with a lot of great smooth songs, and sometimes you can meet some features from the irish music too. I think is a suitable record for those who love sweet rock music just like Bryan Adams or the most recent Ian Hunter's albums.
