I'm very musical, and by that I mean that 'tunes' can really get me. I'm one of those people who can go to a concert and close my eyes, not because I resent the show but because I'm so absorbed in the music.
So when I heard 'Best Behaviour' for the first time, for example, I just got taken in. I mean, FULL credits for the fact that these guys are musically AMAZING! I love to listen to them sing and rap. Some of their lyrics are also interesting but then we come to the touchy subject.
See, I just can't support certain things. I've read about the hard life they had growing up, and I wont even venture to comment on their struggle- it's too easy to judge and trespass on someone's circumstances. So I respect where they've come from but think of how Dappy and Fazer have been behaving with drugs, assault, public disorder, threatening people.... Look, there's a certain point when where you come from doesn't excuse who you become. We are individuals and have choices, and why do these guys, who are NOW successful, now CHOOSE to behave like this?
Next thing, the lyrics....come on: 'Toot it and Boot it' :o( Tulisa and Dappy, brother and sister, singing about sexual objectification in a way that can only influence the same sort of behaviour. Inconsistent with some of the other songs, just plain wrong.... Be sexy; be TOTALLY sexy and be musical, be interesting, be edgy but do not be like that. If you don't want people to disrespect you, respect them. Simple.
Great musicianship guys. Sort your message out tho.
