Book Description

1 Nov 2013 Kimani Romance (Book 356)
Unlucky in love, Professor Angelina Lewis is resigned that she is more of an intellectual than a romantic. This all changes when her sister talks her into taking her place on a singles' cruise. On the high seas, red-hot desire ignites when she meets Jeremy Bell. Frolicking in the Caribbean with the sensual doctor is making Angelina believe in the power of passion. But what happens once they sail into port? Will her shipboard romance get hit with a reality check?

2.0 out of 5 stars Beyond boring 2 Jan 2014
By Chgobooklover - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Its hard to get into a book where one of the lead characters is beyond boring. The premise of Love on the High Seas was a very promising one but the story that followed was severely lacking any sort of chemistry and connection. I could accept that Angelina lacked experience and was shy and reserved but the character that developed during the story went beyond inexperienced to the land of boring and old fashioned. I couldn't identify with her character at all. For a 29 year old woman, she dressed and acted like a 90 year old woman. Wearing a bolero jacket over every dress and one inch heels is not sexy or sensuous. Nor do 29 year old women use the words harlot and trollop to describe themselves for having a romantic relationship with a man. I couldn't understand Jeremy's desire to be with her at all. I gave the story 2 stars for the simple fact that there were some funny supporting characters in her sister and his friends.

It wasn't a very interesting story. It just seemed like the story didn't flow to the well. I'm not a big fan of this novel

The book was okay. Kind of blah...no real excitement. There were really no highs or lows just everyday average life kind of stuff.
