My eight year old daughter was exstactic when she received this book as an unexpected surprise. When I told her that I was going to write a review of it she said 'tell them I love it'! According to my daughter, it would be a brilliant reference book for any girl who is starting a gymnastics class or has begun to be interested in doing gymnastics. The photos are very helpful and detailed and the reader can see exactly the positions and exercises they need to do to become a gymnast either for recreation or competition purposes.

I bought this looking for a book on gymnastics for my niece to teach her drills and techniques. Sadly, it didn't have what I was after. It has a few pointers and covers different types of gymnastics but looked a bit simplistic to me - I think any child who's done gymnastics for a few years won't get much out of this.
Might be OK if they are starting out and want to get enthusiastic - lots of photos but is short and lightweight (in both senses).

I got this book for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. It looks very nice and it has pictures showing you how to do some gymnastics moves. Read more
