These guys are practically unheard of much in the Uk, but really they actually very much well worth hearing indeed. They have evolved their sound a little over a handful of albums but mostly have the kind of Nu Metal, heavy, catchy rap rock sound. Really great big rockin, catchy feel good heavy tunes. Great stuff to wake up to, rock out to, feel good with. Excellent stuff.

Unlike our other reviewers here, I only know Pillar from this album and "Where do we go from here." Pillar's sound is so different, but simular to a lot of bands at the same time. Now, "Where do we go from here" is a quality album, all the songs are well written and put together. Very dramatic and in your face. However "For the love of the game" is something else. I bought it a few days after release, and I still can't ever get bored in listening through the album. And I get bored with bands quite easily. If you like heavy guitar, beautiful riffs and dramatic lyrics... well this is all you need. Oh and by the way.... they're a Christian band.

Their best work since the good old rap-metal days!!,

This is a pretty strong album in my opinion which came as a pleasant surprise as I only ordered it because I have all their previous albums and their last one `The Reckoning' though good, lacked some of that pillar energy. These 10 tracks however see pillar back on form with musicianship better than ever and top-notch production.
