About the Author

Simon Puttock was born in New Zealand and wanted to be a vet when he was little, but when he grew up he became a bookseller. He was particularly interested in children's books and was chosen to be a short-listing Children's Whitbread judge. He has since written 24 children's books and was winner of the Early Years award at the Royal Mail Scottish Children's Book Awards, 2006.

I needed the book in a hurry to be able to use in school to participate in the Royal mail Book awards that had to be voted on by the end of January. The book arrived in very good time and condition due to excellent packaging. I was particularly pleased because the book was out of print by a well known high street and online book store and I had all but given up getting it.
