Great Remixes included! 29 July 2007
By Peter St Eloi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
I love Atomic Kitten, and this is one of my favourite ballads by them. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt was released in 2003 as the fourth and final single from their "Feels So Good" album. It was written by Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles), Billy Steinberg, and Tom Kelly, who had written "Eternal Flame" which Atomic Kitten had covered in 2001 and taken to #1 on the UK charts.

Jenny Frost takes lead vocals for the first time in an Atomic Kitten single, as she describes how she used to fall in love with "the wrong kind," but her new love has shown her that "love doesn't have to hurt to feel good."

The song is very celebratory of new love, and each girl sings of how her previous relationships were wrong or hurtful. The new love they sing of comes into their life and reveals the wonders of a healthy relationship.

The CD single also comes with a limited edition poster (if you're lucky enough to find a new, still sealed version) and two remixes. The first remix is The Soda Club Remix of "The Last Goodbye," which takes their previous single, also a ballad, and stretches it into a six minute slow groove.

The final remix is a medly of remixes of "The Tide Is High" "Be With You" and "The Last Goodbye" called "Kissing In The Wind." This remix is the reason I bought the single. I love putting it on, turning it up and dancing (while singing loudly) to this mix.
