* Kent had hoped to issue the two CDs simultaneously, but some projects take longer than others to reach fruition. In the meantime, Kent have been able to track down some great shots of the rarely-photographed Patrice and have been granted official access to the Motown master tape vaults, which goes to make the wait all the more worthwhile.
* The Holloway sisters were the first West Coast artists to be signed by Berry Gordy to Motown in 1963. Brenda scored immediately with `Every Little Bit Hurts', released when she was just 17. Patrice was less fortunate and was advised by Gordy to graduate from school before continuing her singing career. None of the tracks she cut for Motown were issued at the time.
* In 1966 she signed with Capitol Records, where she released excellent singles such as `Ecstasy' and `Love & Desire'. They made little impression at the time, but became big favourites on the British Northern Soul scene in the 1970s.
* Spanning the years 1963-1971, "Love & Desire: The Patrice Holloway Anthology" comprises each of the nine solo tracks issued in her name on Capitol and her complete Motown recordings, ten of them previously unissued.
