Love and Dancing - The Unlimited Orchestra is possibly producer Martin Rushent's finest hour. The unmistakable backdrop of some of The Human League's finest tracks stripped, mixed and whipped by bounding analogue synth beats and cutting saw waves topped with piercing and addictive synth strings.
Despite it's analogue master and mix, this CD is beautifully hiss free and brings with it a huge dynamic range needing a half decent Hi-Fi to get the best from it. A beautifully mastered disc that puts many modern all-digitally mastered CD's to shame.
Fans of 80's Electro or Synth *have* to have this disc.

This music is the work of Martin Rushent who remixed the Human League back in the 80's. If you have surround sound and you want to give a demo this is the mother of all samples. I first encountered the music back in 1981 and I feel it was way ahead of its time. Great value. Just buy it. Trust me. This was the very first CD I bought and my favourite track is Love Action. Stereo sound at its best.

This was ahead of its time in the 80's when it was first released on vinyl, and has stood the test of time. The stereo effects are stunning, and the album gives your sound system a real workout. 10/10.

Im always amazed at what I managed to miss in the 80s music-wise despite being an 80s kid!

And this is one of them. I saw a review of this by accident whilst buying Gary Numan albums (yes I managed to miss all those too and Im playing them to death to compensate!). Ive had the Greatest Hits by the League for years and love it. If you are any kind of League fan you need this CD! Its like all their best tunes remixed (but remixed very well - not badly) and extended. I have trouble listening to the original Dont you Want me these days due to hearing it waaaay too much (and that bloody advert!) but the remix here for instance captures the best bits and makes it listenable again!

Its cheap - just buy it - you wont regret it! Oh and if you get the chance, go and see them live while you can...I did a few years ago and they were brilliant!

This album often gets overlooked.
Instrumental dance albums are now pretty commonplace .
Whilst listrening to this you become aware of just how visionary The Human League can be ,that alone makes this worth buying.
One of the first Dancemix albums released.
Great stuff!

Following up on the hugely successful album DARE the Human League (under the guise of The League) released this instrumental (with occasional vocals) and it is just excellent.

The many electropop synth sounds are blended together seamlessly to create a superb album.

The only problem with downloading it as an MP3 album is you loose the seamless transition between tracks which is a real pain. Luckily (if you still have iTunes 10 or older and an iPod) you can set the album as a gapless one which eliminates the pauses between tracks making it a far more enjoyable listen.

Love and Dancing is a remix album of Human Leagues classic electronic pop album "Dare". It is an outstanding achievement by their producer Martin Rushent to make such great remixes of these songs. Although this album was made in the early eighties, it still sounds very current and fresh to my ears, it was way ahead of its time doing extended mainly instrumental remixes of short pop songs. Big credit to Martin Rushent for his ability to create these sounds with the basic and rudimentary equipment available at the time. I highly recommend this album to anyone who likes electronic music.

I've never been a huge fan of the League but when I came across this album in the eighties I fell in love with it instantly. These remixes are all from the Dare period and are a priceless slice of stuff, in fact some of the best remixes i've ever heard -- some stuff here just sends shivers down my spine ----- anyone who is into electronic music of any description should give this a whirl, even if you were never the greatest league fan.
