Love Coach - why I wrote it and how I hope it helps
I'm delighted that Amazon is selling Love Coach - and giving me a chance to fill readers in on the background to it.
Because as an agony aunt (for the British Television text service Teletext, for men's magazine FHM in the UK and the US, and for women's weekly mag thats life), I get letters every single day from people who are finding it hard to make love work. I know, both personally and professionally, that nowadays it's really tough to find love, get it started, keep it happening. And in today's fragmented society, we just aren't getting the support we need. Here's where I come in as an agony aunt - and where Love Coach the book is aimed...
Quite simply, it lists all those tricky questions that you hit head on when you're in a relationship... what if you feel the emotions getting negative... what if you're bored... what if you're tempted to have an affair... what if you're not making love any more... what if you row and keep on rowing?
I've gathered 75 of the headline problems that people hit, and - through straight talk, plus real life stories - tell you how to cope. Sometimes what I say is tough or hard to hear. But it does work.
One of the big things about Love Coach is that it has an accompanying website - it's the very first selfhelp book, so far as I know, to take this approach. The website has a quiz you can fill in to find out where your relationship is at. And it provides an interactive element that goes with the book, allowing you to approach me, the author, with your particular love problem. The website is an essential element of the book, and you can find it by typing "The Love Coach" into any search engine. Or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
I'd be fascinated to read your online review of my book. And if you want to contact me with further suggestions or queries, just get in touch. I'm so keen - through my columns, book and through the website - to help as many people as possible get the love relationships they deserve!
