Great Home Defense System 23 Oct. 2012
By Brian S. - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Natural woodSize: 34 Verified Purchase
I recently moved into a street-level apartment in Boston, and this bat is my home warming gift to myself.

The bat is very heavy, and seems longer than what I remember swinging in high school.

It's exactly what I expected, and I feel much safer having it around.

Best bang for the buck 31 Oct. 2010

This model is the best value out there. The model feels very light and is easy to get through the zone properly. You will get high mileage out of this bat if you learn not to swing at bad pitches and barrell up on those that you can drive.

All wood bats are going to break if you put a bad swing on the ball

Great Value 19 Dec. 2013
By Robert Richardson - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Natural woodSize: 34 Verified Purchase
I like these bats because they're very inexpensive and durable. I play in a Saturday league where a lot of guys buy maple, composite and other high end, expensive bats. For me, its too much of a gamble to spend $80 on a bat that might break within a game or 2. Obviously, the durability relies a lot on the hitter, but these Louisville Slugger cheapies usually last me an entire season. I had one last 2+ seasons. I will say that the wood is relatively soft and you'll get dents/impressions in the wood from cleats, baseball seams, etc.

These bats are cosmetic rejects of much more expensive bats ... 21 July 2013
By Ari - Published on Amazon.com
Ignore any negative review alleging this product is of an inferior quality.

Louisville Slugger culls bats with cosmetic/minor flaws out of an assortment of different turning models, puts them in a big pile, and then sells them with the "180" stamp on them. You will get a bat randomly selected from these models: C271, P72, C243, R161, T141 and K55. None of the "flaws" affect the bat's performance. [...]

My bat came with a small dent/sanded gouge. It was so small I didn't even notice it on my first inspection. Mine is an Ash P72 ... A bat that would have cost $130 without this tiny ding.

Sometimes wood bats break. It happens. But I can just about guarantee that many of the reviews complaining about the bat breaking within the first few swings are written by people that are simply not using the bat correctly. Learn how: [...]

Good batting cage bat 28 Jan. 2014
By Andy Solis - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this bat for one reason, BATTING CAGES! I've had this bat for about a month and it seems to be holding up fairly well. I've taken it about 5 or 6 times to the cages. These pitching machines take tokens and each token gives me 8 pitches. I ALWAYS get 15 tokens so guys can sum up about how many pitches I've hit with this bat. This bat is worth the price. You guys should really think about buying it if you want a batting cage bat. Also, always bat with the label facing up or down. It'll decrease the chances of breaking the bat.
