I first heard the test tube babies around 1984 and was immediately impressed by how politically incorrect (even by 1984 standards) and therefore funny they were. After allowing my musical tastes to mature for 18 years, I now realise just how good the music itself is - catchy riffs aplenty with some fancy bass hooks and a lively backline coupled with Peter's dry and out-of tune voice - what more could you ask for? Well, the lyrics are hilarious, they really know how to tell a story. This is British comedy at its best, and a breath of fresh air in these days of insipid pop dross - a British punk classic.
