5.0 out of 5 stars A young boy tries to find about his past., 12 April 2000
By A Customer
This is a book that tells the adventure of one boy that is trying to find out who he is. He will go through hard, sad, and happy times. He finds many friends on his way and he also loses some. He will suffer hard challenges and ecounter large obstacles. For those of you who like magical and mystical stories this book is for you. This boy is blessed with special talents just like many people but when he relizes that sometimes they can get out of control he must learn when and how to use them. It has lessons of friendship and it tells that sometimes people can be corupted by others but that that coruption can be overcom. So my word of advice to you is READ IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for the "older" kids, too!, 3 Sep 1999
By A Customer
What a terrific book! I strolled into the public library to get *The Chronicles of Narnia* to read to my kids - it was out, so I sifted through the other fantasy titles. Being intrigued by Merlin my whole life, I picked up "The Lost Years Of Merlin" - and haven't put it down yet! I'll read it to my kids - eventually! I LOVE IT! Let me recommend this to all of you adults out there... as well as the young adults. A great read, especially if you are tired of all the "techno-fantasy" that's floating around. A terrific tale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hurray Merlin!, 30 Aug 1999
By A Customer
I love to read books, but the Merlin books I found as something else. I'm only thirteen, but I have to say, this triolgy is (on my scale) right up there next to the Chronicals of Narnia, and The Hobbit series. Way to go, Mr. Barron, for producing a series that's imaginative and creative!
