1.0 out of 5 stars I wondered why the author's friends didn't stop her from publishing it in this form 6 Feb 2013

What might have been a nice story suffered from poor editing and poor story flow. I don't know who is writing the glowing reviews but I thought this was pretty terrible. There is way too much narration, inconsistent use of tense, and just poor writing. Life is too short to waste my time with poorly written books so after about the 5th chapter, I gave it up. Rarely do I write a negative review, preferring to just not waste my time further, but I'd hate for anyone to actually spend money on this -- and I wish my library system hadn't done so either. I give her 1 star for actually finishing writing a book, but that's it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it but I heard it before.. 17 May 2012

I like the book and the characters but it reminds me of Niobia Bryant book "Can't get next to you". Even though Bryant book is 6 years old I know it like the back of my hand. Both of the lead women character are named Gabrielle "Gabby". Its a nice read. I recommend it to anyone who needs a quick read.

Good book. This book is part of a great family series. I really hated to finish this book. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
2.0 out of 5 stars Insipid and Corny 17 Aug 2013

SMH...I can't believe this book was written after the 70's. The language and stilted behavior are like something from an old sitcom. The only thing updated was the sexual content. Hot sex and stiff characters made the book totally unbelievable and took what could have been a good book and made it insipid. The heroine in this book is so immature and childish. All of the crying and immature head games just add to the frustration of trying to get through the book. Unfortunately, I bought the third book in the series before I read this one. I hope it's better.

Folks that enjoy The old Harlequins will like this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good book.. enjoyed the first story in this series better. 16 May 2013

But I had some problems with the story line.. Ethan was a dynamic hard core intelligent businessman yet the entire family acted as if they were clueless that someone would commit corporate espionage against their company. Gabby was even worse.. id like a heroine to be at least more of a fighter. A photographer takes a compromising photograph and she doesn't realize thats going to be a problem. Someone leaks a photo on the internet of your product and bells don't start going off that Houston we may have a problem. The intelligence factor was sorely lacking in this book so unlike the first book!
