Love it but I heard it before..

I like the book and the characters but it reminds me of Niobia Bryant book "Can't get next to you". Even though Bryant book is 6 years old I know it like the back of my hand. Both of the lead women character are named Gabrielle "Gabby". Its a nice read. I recommend it to anyone who needs a quick read.

This is the second installment of the Adams series and I have to say you will not be disappointed. "Need You Now is Kayla & Ethan story and Lost Without You is Shane & Gabrielle story. When I seem the title of this book it remind of BeBe & CeCe Winans song.
Shane Adams graduate at the top of his class and is the head chemists at Adams Cosmetics family own business. Every since the success of Hypnotic Shane has been working on developing a new perfume fragrance.
Gabrielle Burton worked for L'Oreal as a chemist and when she was offer a job at Adams Cosmetics to felt this was a good opportunity this will give her a chance to return back home and hopeful make a contribution and give her that creative boost at Adams Cosmetics. Gabrielle had been at L'Oreal and was past over for a promotion.
From the time Shane & Gabrielle had gone to perfumery school together and have always competed against each other. They both rub each other the wrong way so when he found out that Gabrielle will working at Adams with Shane. From the moment Gabrielle interview there was tension and Shane made it perfect clear that she will be working for him and he was in charge of the lab.
After Gabrielle had been working there they decided to go out for drink to unwind, Shane has always thought Gabby was up tight that didn't know how to let loose and have some fun. While on the dance floor after a couple of drinks thing got a little heated and they shared a kiss, but once it was over Gabby thought Shane didn't enjoyed and regretted. Gabrielle decided to take Courtney (Shane sister) up on her offer for a make over this will be for her and to catch Shane eye. Gabrielle has had a secretly had a crush on Shane since they was in school together.
The title is on point because they was Lost Without Each Other until they found each other again. Buy the book you will love it.

But I had some problems with the story line.. Ethan was a dynamic hard core intelligent businessman yet the entire family acted as if they were clueless that someone would commit corporate espionage against their company. Gabby was even worse.. id like a heroine to be at least more of a fighter. A photographer takes a compromising photograph and she doesn't realize thats going to be a problem. Someone leaks a photo on the internet of your product and bells don't start going off that Houston we may have a problem. The intelligence factor was sorely lacking in this book so unlike the first book!
