Product Description

It was good to know he could still get a reaction from her, despite all the muddied water flowing under the bridge between them Ailsas heart is pounding shes totally unprepared for the impact of confronting Jake Larsens unforgettable features once more! The only difference is the cruel scar that sears her estranged husbands cheekbone, somehow enhancing his effortlessly handsome looks and reminding Ailsa of the sorrow that separates them Jake had thought hed be seeing Ailsa for a few minutes not spending days snowbound in her house with her. But the longer he stays, the more the wife he once lost becomes a woman hes determined to win

emotional story. 8 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I think i must have read one of the most emotioal romances in a while and i seem to be reading most of them at the moment.
It is Ailsa and Jakes story, it is 4yrs since Ailsa has seen her ex husband, he usually sends his driver to pick up or fetch their daughter home to Ailsa, he came to let
her know that Saska was staying a week with his Mother in Denmark.
Ailsa was a bit unhappy about it because she missed her and it was a week to Christmas, Jake had to stay there because the weather was too dangerous to drive.
We find out that 4yrs ago Jake and Ailsa were in a very bad accident and they lost their unborn son Thomas, Jake blamed himself but it wasn't it was a drunk driver, they have never really talked about this, but they start to finally talk, really try to understand each other
Jake and Ailsa love each other very much, they make love, let me tell you, get some tissues
because the 2nd time they make love, well i cried i couldn't help it, you will understand
what i mean when you read it.
Jake asks Ailsa would she go to his Mums in Denmark and stay there for Christmas with their daughter, she agrees, His Mum is so kind and loving. Thier daughter has a wish to
Father Christmas, could her Mamma and Pappa be together.
After the accident Ailsa was told she would be unlikely to have any more children,
Jake said he loved her and their daughter, and also his son who he would never forget. Jake was happy with his family.
Oh what a beautiful story please read it, beautiful. what a writer is the author.

Boring 9 Oct 2011
By Laura
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this after reading the two glowing reviews but I just found it boring. They go over and over the same angst. I agree with the other reviewer about it being far too cheesy.

Awww heck! I am going to play devil's advocate here and say whilst the first half of the book was quite readable and enjoyable I found the later second half far too cheesy!

It may sound silly but the the 'letter' the child wrote was PURE CHEESE! as was the rest of the book I am afraid (hence the need for the crackers).

Sorry but what child aged 9 calls their parents 'Mama and Papa', I found that a wee bit silly.

Maybe I am taking it all too seriously but I found it a bit too twee.
