bargain basement or pound shop product, its functional but limited, (spoiler alert).... it does contain the gem that the bluestones are peculiarly warm to the touch compared to other stones...
The 'state of the art graphics', aren't state of the art even at the time this was made. The triangulation of the grassy areas breaks up on movement and the CGI 'artist' has failed to note that trilithons in the middle of the real thing are taller than the lintelled ring, His model has everything the same size, the film editor hasnt noticed, the director hasnt noticed.
The ladies from English Heritage do their stuff ok, the gem comes from one of them.
If you see it in the pound shop, buy it.
'Watch it with the kids,' i'll second that, otherwise i'd save my money here and put it towards something more advanced.

Excellent perspective on an interesting subject. Far better than American titles on this and other historical subjects. Gives a good, all-round summation of geography, opinion and historical veracity. Highly recommended.

Stonehenge is an excellent DVD. The opinions of the experts on the DVD are wonderfully instructive and the man who gave the documentary was obviously and expert on the matter. I recommend this DVD to everybody.
