2.0 out of 5 stars Another 'Roman camp' film 9 May 2009
As a 'fan' of the ancient Celts, I felt this DVD was really lacking depth and scope, despite an interview with Miranda Green. I couldn't help but feel the writers were of the Roman camp, so it seemed rather biased - as if they took what the Romans described as gospel, instead of reading between the lines. I guess it's watchable as an introduction to the Celts, but don't expect it to highlight anything great about them as a people or society - in fact, it kind of degrades them in a way. While there's a brief mention of war leaders Vercingetorix and Boudica, there is nothing on Caradoc (Caratacus) etc. Certainly not focused on any one subject for long. Rather disappointing.
